Village Surgeries

What is a PPG?

PPGs are Patient Participation Groups.

The VILLAGE SURGERIES PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP (TVSPPG) was started in April 2008 as a partnership between the patients and the doctors of the Wheathampstead Village Surgery:

– Enabling a dialogue between doctors and patients to improve the quality of service provided and to help shape future policies of their Village Surgery
– Arranging Health Talks to help patients better understand treatment and prevention of health conditions.

The PPG is now free to all users of the Village Surgery Practice and receives some funding from the Surgery. The committeee is looking for additional sources of funding to cover administration costs.

Replays of online health talks are available on this page.
